Washington Post questions Korea's 500 "no kids zones" establishments !

[+365, -41] There are probably hundreds of thousands of stores in the US with dress codes and age restrictions ㅋㅋ why do Americans act like they don't do this stuff ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I don't get why the WP is constantly trying to pick fights with us like this. Worry about yourself, tsk.

[+296, -33] Blame the parents who can't parent their kids. Who else can you blame?

[+231, -35] Why even try to enter a business that clearly doesn't want you to?

[+22, -4] What is there to hate? A business owner is willing to lose sales to upkeep his own rules. In a capitalist society, they are choosing not to make money off a particular consumer. Where's the issue?

[+21, -4] Honestly, no kids zones are great for when you just want a quiet place to drink some tea

[+20, -4] No one's rejecting children around here. We're rejecting the parents who can't parent their unruly kids.

[+19, -0] The only reason no kids zones are increasing is because of the parents. They have no control over their kids running around and screaming in establishments, they demand menu adjustments like an extra fried egg or less spicy meals, and they expect a free side of rice or some heated milk just because they have a kid...

[+17, -5] I don't know who else you could blame for this other than the parents who don't parent ㅋㅋ

[+15, -1] I wish we could stick all the parents of unruly kids and people who sit in cafes studying all day all in one spot ㅋ

[+12, -0] It's because these Americans haven't suffered at the hands of these kids yet ㅋㅋㅋ a kid would be going around slapping all the fruits displays while their parent watches with a proud smile on their face ㅋㅋㅋ

[+11, -2] No one has a problem with normal children in business establishments... but the half psycho ones raised by parents who refuse to parent? That's a different issue.

[+10, -2] I live in the US and there are high-end restaurants here with no kids zones. However, the establishments here don't really need a restriction like that in general because I've rarely seen kids cause a scene in restaurants. There are separate kids-friendly restaurants that most will go to instead like McDonald's where kids can run free. Never in my 20 years have I seen a kid cause a scene at a regular restaurant...

[+10, -0] Businesses aren't really public spaces, are they? I get that the birth rate is important and all but I'd rather we live in a country where businesses can choose these things for themselves first

[+9, -4] I don't even understand what connection they're trying to make with the no kids zones and our birth rate

[+9, -2] These businesses can do whatever they want if they're the ones paying the rent. Why are you forcing yourself into a no kids zone and whining about it?
