Loona's Yves accused by male fans for using feminist slang !

Video: Another girl group under controversy overshadowed by Fromis 9's controversy

Loona's Yves used the word 'himjo/find strength' in a spelling that misogynist communities claim to be used by radical feminists (normally spelled 'himjwo').

1. [+411] Any normal person would read 'himjo' and think she's just spelling it like that to be cute, who would assume she's a feminist based just off of that and hate on her for it? ㅋㅋㅋ I guess just breathing will count as feminism soon.

2. [+425] I think the majority of people probably didn't know that 'himjo' is affiliated like that before this video ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I'm only learning about it now;; it just sounds like someone trying to say 'himjwo' with more aegyo?

3. [+167] There are so many controversial terminologies lately that I feel bad searching them and adding traction to their usage. It's annoying that we have to be so careful now.

4. [+187] I think a lot more people have no idea what it means than those who do..?? Yves probably meant to say it in an aegyo way...

5. [+220] I can't believe this is considered controversial. So do idols need to study up on feminist slang before they debut now?

6. [+306] Why are they making a fuss about this. Most people don't even know that the word is used like that ㅋㅋㅋ lay off her ㅋㅋㅋ

7. [+59] Just another case of Korean men being mad. Why are they threatening to leave the fandom when they've probably never even streamed any songs for the girls in the first place ㅋㅋ

8. [+12] And who are the men out to kill this time? First Jammi and now Yves?

9. [+67] Sad that no one cares about the controversy because they're so unpopular! Loona fans, himjo!!!!

10. [+62] Jammi also used the word 'himjo' and got hated on to death... is this really something to kill people over? Honestly, it's easy to pick up random words from different communities if you have a few friends that use them regularly, it's unfair to assume these things of someone just because they used a word like that. I'd understand being suspicious if they use the word out of context but situations like this just seem so forced.
