Article: Eating probiotic sticks while on the run... enough with forced PPL

1. [+569, -6] Wait a minute ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ surely drama producers don't think the sole reason Netflix dramas are doing better than them is because their dramas have too much PPL??? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ They have a long way to go if so ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+242, -4] They could cut back on how much celebrities are paid per episode and invest that into production expenses. No one should be getting paid 100 million won per episode.

3. [+142, -2] All the random scenes of characters putting on make up, the leads only ever eating fried chicken... all of this PPL is not only cringe but embarrassing. Do producers even know that forced PPL like this forces viewers to change the channel?

4. [+115, -0] I just don't get why they can't incorporate the PPL in more sensible ways... or at least make them fun to watch.

5. [+50, -3] The way PPL is implemented these days is proof that producers are taking the viewers for fools. Don't worry about the viewer ratings if you have a well produced drama. The ratings will take care of themselves.

6. [+30, -1] So sick and tired of characters randomly putting on make up or eating things in the middle of the drama. It's disgusting.

7. [+27, -1] 'The King' is most representative when it comes to a drama that flopped because of PPL ㅋㅋㅋㅋ putting on chapstick in the middle of an undercover investigation, long-winded explanations of products~ I couldn't stand all of the PPL in it. Why don't producers ever realize how bad these things are???

8. [+18, -0] I can't stand that one multi-balm type product that's in every drama these days. They rub it all over their face and necks and then on their lips, so dirty.. ㅋㅋ it actually turns me off from the product because of how often I see it

9. [+14, -0] It's just way too much~~~

10. [+13, -0] The viewers don't mind PPL if it's naturally implemented so as to not distract from what's going on on-screen...  We just can't stand totally random PPL like when the characters are in a high-tension moment but they suddenly whip out cup ramen.. or when they open the fridge and there are 200 cans of one specific brand... stop with that. Or when there's a really cool chase scene and a Lamborghini pops out of no where. PPL can be natural if the characters are taken in mind, like if a character works in the fashion industry so they only wear a certain brand. It's unfortunately done so forcibly that viewers can't help but turn to Netflix to avoid all that stuff.

11. [+13, -1] The law needs to start regulating this stuff better. Sometimes I can't tell if I'm watching a drama or some CF parody.

12. [+11, -0] I just want brands to know that you're basically killing your own image if you force your products on the screen like this
